5 Things You Should Be Adding To Your Club’s Event Section

Since reopening from COVID, many of our clubs were a little unsure what to add into their event section, therefore we have collated the five best additional ideas from our successful club’s CourseMate Apps and put them together in one easy place.
This handy little guide covers all aspects of what can be included within your club’s app event section. Understandably not all will apply to your venue, however, we’re positive one or two will resonate with you too.

What can go into your events section of your app?

1) Today’s course conditions

This is received extremely well by members, especially when we have bad weather and it the perfect one to send a daily push notification on.  It has been cited a number of times as one of the reasons that a visiting golfers have converted into a members – they loved the daily communication!

2) Planned maintenance

This serves two great purposes for your members (and visiting golfers) because they can plan their games in advance/reminds them that its happening and also informs them of what your venue is doing to keep the course in tip-top shape.

3) Fitting/demo days

Creating extra revenue for you and giving your members great service and/or new equipment! A complete win-win event for all.

4) Coaching Sessions

Got a new putting course or a new (or even weekly) group session? Putting them in your app is the perfect way to fill up your spaces and help improve their game.

5) Stock updates

Whether is new stock in (everyone loves to be the first to have the latest gadget, club or item of clothing) or end of line sale (everyone loves a bargain!) your event section is great way to give them the heads up of when to expect new arrivals and when they can go and grab a bargain!

PS: Just like Club Opens, our clubs find that uptake for social events and demo days is dramatically improved by the use of push notifications via their club’s CourseMate app and the ability to book directly doesn’t hurt either!
